So, I weighed myself today and my new weight is....::insert drumroll:: 242.5lbs!!! That's down 3.5lbs!!! what!! what!!
I'm trying to think back on what I did last week...And I can figure out what it was. I worked out 4 days last week. And...I didn't eat like I should've eaten. I'm pretty sure I had McDonald's last week in addition to going out to eat on Friday and Saturday. Either way, I'm so happy. I'm going to continue to do my workouts as often as possible. I'm pretty happy with this week. Let's just hope I can keep it up. So, today is day 29/30. Which means tomorrow is the 30 day mark for when I started this thing. However, I think I may be doing my measurements today. We'll see what happens.
Biggest Loser
So, for work today is 8/90!! I'm ready to continue to lose weight. I'm very happy by my progress. My goal is to be down to 200lbs (or less) by my birthday. Which means I have 122 days left. (I think I may have a problem when it comes to countdowns)

30 Day WHAT?!?!?
Ok, so my 30 day challenge is not going as swimmingly as I'd hoped. I'm on day 22 and have only lost 2.5lbs. (Oh yeah, my new weight is 246lbs. I lost another pound ::super excited::)
So, I will continue with the 30 day challenge. I will weigh myself once a week for the remainder of the 30 Days. I just don't want to give up on my 30 day challenge.
However, we have decided to do another Biggest Loser challenge at work that started today and will last for 90 days. So that makes today 22/30 and also 1/90.
On day 30, I will post my measurements and weight. However my next weigh in will be posted at Day 45 of the 90 day Challenge. (I feel like I just confused myself, but whatever, I know what I mean)
Last week I did not work out and I'm super bummed out about it, but I'm happy that I've been continuously losing weight. So with that said, I have 96lbs to go!!

So, I weighed in today at 247lbs. This is a 0.5lb loss from last week. I don't know how I really feel about it. I guess I'm happy because it's a loss and not a gain...but, I thought that it would be a bigger number. I did much better with working out this week. I was drinking my water and even drinking the water this weekend. I did have a bit of a downfall this weekend because I went out.
Saturday, a friend of mine encouraged me to hop on a party bus. I did, and I had a blast!!!! Only thing is I managed to drink like a fish!!! Wayyy too much, but it was so much fun and I needed the break.
Sunday, I went out to dinner with my family and I'm pretty sure I ate too much bread. But, I'm back at it and considering the terrible weekend I had with eating and drinking, I'm sure that it could've been worse had I not been good during the week. So, let's see how this week goes. Hoping for larger number...well atleast a whole number next week!!!

So, somewhere along the way I adopted a LIFE...meaning I've been super busy. Last week, I managed to only jog one day :-( However, I did maintain my healthy eating habits...with a little deviation due to some weekend activities. I weighed in today at 247.5 lbs. This is a 1lb weight loss. I'm happy with that, but looking for a bigger number next week. In regards to today, I worked out this morning (OH YEAAHH) and I plan to jog today after work.
So, I think I'm off to a good start. I've got 9 lbs to go in my 30 day challenge and I feel that I'm off to a pretty good start. Just need to make sure I do better with working out this week.
Our pet fish, Bluey passed away early Sunday morning. My 4 year old cried her little eyes out. I didn't make it any better because I'm a little insensitive when it comes to some things and I told her in an awkward manner. We're going to pick out a new fish today. Hopefully this one will last longer than 4 months.

Morning Workouts
I'm doing the Power 90 DVDs. If you are not familiar with Power 90, it's like the step before P90X. The workouts are only about 30 minutes long. I plan to do these DVDs until I'm comfortable enough to try P90X.So, I think I'm off to a good start. I've got 9 lbs to go in my 30 day challenge and I feel that I'm off to a pretty good start. Just need to make sure I do better with working out this week.
In other News:

No Power
I sorta kinda worked out yesterday. After work, I headed straight to the park so I could jog in preparation for the 5k. However, it was extremely windy. So, windy, that I almost fell over. So, I only did about 15 minutes and left the park. But, I said that I would go home and workout some more.
I drank at least 64 oz of water (Yay me)

I get home, fully expecting to workout and eat some yummy leftovers and I discover that not only is too windy to jog, but it's so windy that my electricity is out!! WTFudge!!! I sit on my couch, as I was saddened because I wanted to do one of my workout DVD's . My 4 year old starts crying because she can't imagine life without a TV. (sad, i know). So we leave and go visit my dad.

I get to my dad's house, and he and my brother live this ultimate bachelor lifestyle, i.e. NO FOOD. So, I go and get pizza (shameful for my diet). I get a Hot & Ready because it's cheap, I don't particularly like them, and according to the government it's a vegetable because of the tomato sauce (lol). I don't know what they did to this dang on pizza because it was delicious. I gobbled down 2 slices and went back for more. Not because I was still hungry, but because this one tasted so good.
:::Fat girl moment:::
I take the cheese off the pizza and eat it first. Then I bit into the pizza and somehow manage to separate the bottom crust from the top in my mouth and eat them separately. The texture of the pizza in my mouth is so amazing that I had to have more.
***Back to Reality***
So, after devouring 4 slices of pizza. I feel absolutely sick to my stomach. I, eventually lay down and go to sleep. I wake up and return to my home, only to find that the power is still not on. I wake up this morning, and still no power. This really sucks.

30 day challenge
So, I guess that in order to actually hold myself accountable, I should actually write on the blog. (haha)
I did manage to get the measurements done. They may be a little off considering that my coworkers and I have absolutely no idea what we are doing when it comes to taking measurements. So.. here goes it!
Arm - 16in.
Thigh - 30in
Bust - 46.5in
Waist - 41in
Hips - 52in
OMG! I feel like a whale. Anyhoo, on the plus side there were a couple of people who told me that I look like I'm losing weight! (woohoo!)
Ok, so on to the title of this post "30 Day Challenge"
In the past week, I have had many people coming to me with fad diets that they claim will make me drop loads of weight. However, I'm not to keen on restrictive diets. I like to eat!! I like to eat a lot!!!
I didn't get this way by NOT eating!
Anything that restricts my love of eating, would not make me happy. AND...my happiness is more important to me than my waist line (i think..lol)
So I have decided that I would try good old fashioned exercising and I will only eat when I'm hungry and I will cook more at home (No fast food).
I will do this for a total of 30 days! If, after 30 days, I have not lost at least...hmmm. let's say 10lbs (random number) then I will try one of the restrictive diets.
Also, I decided a few weeks ago to run a 5k in June. I found one of the Couch to 5k plans and to this day...I've sucked at consistently running. The plan is suppose to take 9 weeks and frankly...if I don't get started today, then I will NOT be ready to run in June :-(
So...today...we RUN!!!!
I will attempt to post tonight about my jogging experience today.
Oh yeah, and my weight has remained at 248.5 lbs. And I guess it would help to mention that I'm 5'2". (Yeppp...I'ma biggun)

Did she just say...?
So, I was discussing exercise with my co-workers. We were discussing the body types that we would like. I overall would like to be less jiggly. I would also like my butt to curve outward instead of inward...you know like a closed parenthesis instead of an open one.
Anyhoo, the conversation goes like so...
Me: I want my butt to be round (and everything else I said above).
Co-worker A: I want my butt to be firm
Co-worker B: Well, guys don't like hard butts and I like anal...
Me: *blank stare*
Hmm, I'm pretty sure I could have went the rest of my life without knowing that my co-worker likes anal!!!
No offense to those who enjoy that sort of play, but I by no means want to discuss it with you. Some things are better left unsaid.
I guess I was just NOT prepared for weight loss to be so revealing...
